Is New York City about to become the next ground zero for another manufactured health crisis à la Covid-19?

On Friday, July 7, 2026, the NYC Office of the Mayor (NYC OM) released a statement addressing the reported outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease (“Mayor Mamdani Takes Aggressive Action to Address Upper East Side Legionnaires’ Disease Community Cluster”). The statement included the following announcement from NYC Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani:
When there’s a public health threat, New Yorkers deserve urgency and transparency from their government. That’s why we’re using every tool available to protect people by moving quickly to identify potential sources of exposure, requiring immediate remediation and making sure New Yorkers have the information they need to keep themselves and their families safe. If you live, work or recently visited the area and are experiencing symptoms like fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please contact a healthcare provider as soon as possible.
In the same statement Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services Dr. Helen Arteaga added:
Our administration is increasing the speed with which it responds to the spread of Legionnaires’ Disease and improving systems that keep the public informed. New York City is aggressively identifying, cleaning and disinfecting cooling towers that test positive for the presence of Legionella bacteria, and while our administration works to address this public health emergency, we urge everyone in the area, especially older adults and other vulnerable communities, to seek care if they develop flu-like symptoms.
After identifying just two cases that suggested a possible community source on Thursday, July 2, Mayor Mamdani directed the Department of Health to immediately begin testing cooling towers across the affected area and launch community outreach ahead of the holiday weekend. The Department mobilized more than one hundred staff members to carry out the investigation.
Current Legionnaires’ Disease Cases in NYC
The NYC Health Department is reporting the following confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease as of July 10, 2026:
- 54 cases of Legionnaires’ disease
- 18 currently hospitalized
- 0 deaths
Symptoms associated with these cases include fever, chills, muscle aches, and cough. People may also have headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, confusion, or diarrhea.
Oddly enough, and somewhat baffling, none of the major news networks sounding the panic alarm are mentioning the fact that every year about 1,500 to 2,000 New Yorkers die of seasonal flu and pneumonia and suffer from the same symptoms prior to their expiration.
Exactly What is Legionnaires’ Disease?
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Legionnaires’ disease is a serious type of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria. Certain people are at increased risk for this infection. Legionnaires’ disease is treatable with antibiotics. People can get Legionnaires’ disease by breathing in mist containing Legionella bacteria.
Water cooling towers are operational year-round in cities to dissipate heat from recirculating water used in air conditioning and industrial processes. They operate continuously to maintain efficient cooling and manage heat loads effectively. However, the CDC is reporting that Legionella is mainly active in the summer and fall months, and that susceptibility to the deadly bacteria is race, age, and gender specific:

Never Let a Good PCR Test Go to Waste
The part of NYC OM’s statement that should be most concerning to New Yorkers—and the rest of the country for that matter—is the City’s use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) as a method of detecting and identifying Legionella bacteria:
As part of this response, the Administration will take an unprecedented step of publicly releasing the addresses of all buildings whose cooling towers test positive for Legionella bacteria during the initial PCR screening process. Buildings with positive initial tests are also being ordered to immediately drain, clean and disinfect their cooling towers to reduce the risk of further exposure [emphasis added].
This year, the City is taking a more aggressive approach by requiring full remediation immediately after a positive PCR result [emphasis added], accelerating the response and reducing the possibility of ongoing exposure. Several building owners have already completed remediation, while others are actively carrying out the required work.
The use of the PCR test to detect Legionella or any bacteria is the same fraudulent misuse of the test to identify positive COVID-19 cases to stage the 2020 “pandemic,” the same test that we were told detected COVID-19 in asymptomatic people.
The PCR Test: A Brief History
The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique was developed by Dr. Kary Mullis, an American biochemist. In recognition of his invention, Dr. Mullis was a recipient of the 1993 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and was awarded the Japan Prize in the same year. His groundbreaking development became a central technique in biochemistry and molecular biology, described by the New York Times as “highly original and significant, virtually dividing biology into the two epochs of before PCR and after PCR.”
Dr. Mullis was adamant about the use and misinterpretation of the PCR test as a tool for detecting viruses and uses other than its intended purpose of amplifying small segments of DNA to make them easier to analyze.
In a mid-90s panel discussion, Dr. Mullis was asked about the misuse of PCR to estimate viral RNAs related to Human immunodeficiency viruses (HIVs). His response was prompt and made a clear distinction between misuse and misinterpretation.
I think misuse PCR is not quite . . . I don’t think you can misuse PCR. The results, the interpretation of it. See, if they could find this virus in you at all, and with PCR, if you do it well, you can find almost anything in anybody. It starts making you believe in the sort of Buddhist notion that everything is contained and everything else. I mean, because if you can amplify one single molecule up to something that you can really measure, which PCR can do, then there’s just very few molecules that you don’t have at least one single one of them in your body.
Mullis went on to say:
It’s a really quantitative thing. It tells you something about nature and about what’s there. But it allows you to take a very miniscule amount of anything and make it measurable and then talk about it in meetings and stuff like it is important. See, that’s not a misuse. That’s just sort of a misinterpretation.
Unsurprisingly, Dr. Mullis was a staunch critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci. In a 1996 interview, Dr. Mullis said the following:
… guys like Fauci get up there and start talking … he doesn’t know anything, really, about anything. And I’ll say that to his face; nothing. The man thinks you can take a blood sample and stick it in an electron microscope and if it’s got a virus in there, you’ll know it. Those guys have an agenda, which is not what we would like them to have, being that we pay for them to take care of our health in some way.
Dr. Kary Mullis died at home from heart and respiratory failure in August 2019, one month before the October 2019 Bill Gates sponsored Event 201 pandemic tabletop exercise and a few months before the March 2020 announcement of the Covid19 “pandemic” and the subsequent introduction of the PCR test as the diagnostic gold standard for detecting what we are told is a life-threatening Covid-19 virus. Dr. Mullis was 74.

Legionnaires’: Raising More Questions than Answers
The sudden explosion of local NYC news channels reporting on Legionnaires’ raises more questions than answers:
- Why now?
- Is this NYC’s way of generating income to shore up an already disastrous budget?
- Is this more fear porn priming US urban centers for tighter controls and travel restrictions in preparation for the impending economic collapse exacerbated by the war with Iran and Japan’s liquidation of US treasuries?
- When is enough, enough? How much more deceit and corruption will the American public tolerate?
At this point, where we are headed is anyone’s guess.
