A stark look at a corrupt and tyrannical US government and a willfully ignorant population determined to keep it in place.

As of 2026, Donald Trump’s approval rating is approximately 40% among likely voters. This reflects a significant decline since the start of his second term. I would argue that in a corrupt and tyrannical system of government, this figure is as meaningless as your vote.
The United States government is a tangled and twisted mass of rotting pipes, and Donald Trump, a former know-nothing narcissistic gameshow host, is but a mere trickling leak in the basement of the structure. He is to the US government what Jimmy Kimmel is to ABC, a powerless paid spokesman who can be replaced with a button.
Every Wall Street CEO and bank president knows that US presidents are anointed by powerful corporate and banking interests and charged with the specific task of maintaining the status quo, be it endless wars, a corrupt debt-based financial system, or a deceitful, profit-driven healthcare system designed to keep people sick, dependent on fraudulent vaccines, and addicted to costly prescription drugs.
Barack Obama left office with an average approval rating of 60%. Were you part of the 60%? Even if you weren’t, it didn’t make a difference.
Obama’s entire cabinet was selected by Citigroup. As a token of his appreciation, the “yes we can” president proceeded to bail out the “too big to fail” banks with taxpayer money during his first term in office, starting with an obscene $306 billion bailout summarily handed over to Citigroup, the first major act of his presidency.
In a striking December 2009 article, investigative journalist Matt Taibbi reported:
What’s taken place in the year since Obama won the presidency has turned out to be one of the most dramatic political about-faces in our history. Elected in the midst of a crushing economic crisis brought on by a decade of orgiastic deregulation and unchecked greed, Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place. This new team of bubble-fattened ex-bankers and laissez-faire intellectuals then proceeded to sell us all out, instituting a massive, trickle-up bailout and systematically gutting regulatory reform from the inside.
This is the same “change we can believe in” president that had the country at war during his entire time in the Oval Office, clear evidence that your vote and opinion carry no weight no matter who is installed as president, and that nothing will ever change in a corrupt system sold to the American public and the world as a peace-loving democracy seeking justice for all.
Stand Up, Fall in Line, and Follow the Herd
A huge part of the problem is the complicity of the American public. People have been conditioned to be willing participants in a carefully controlled environment with little knowledge or understanding of how they are manipulated. A graphic example of how this works is none other than the groundbreaking conformity experiments of Professor Solomon Asch.
In the 1950s, Asch conducted a series of psychological experiments that revealed the degree to which a person’s own opinions were influenced by those of a group. Asch discovered that people were willing to ignore reality and give an incorrect answer in order to conform with the rest of the group. He had developed an ingenious methodology for establishing his premise: The experiment involved having people who were in on the experiment pretend to be regular participants alongside those who were the actual, unaware subjects of the study. Those who were in on the experiment would behave in certain ways to see if their actions had an influence on the actual participants.
In each experiment, an unsuspecting participant was placed in a room with several accomplices who were in on the experiment. The subjects were told they were taking part in a “vision test.”
The accomplices were all told what their responses would be when a line task was presented and displayed on a large whiteboard and the group was asked to identify and compare the lengths of three different size lines to the size of a single target line. The naive participants had no inkling that the other subjects were not actual participants. After the line task was presented, each student verbally announced which line (either 1, 2, or 3) matched the target line.
Amazingly, nearly 75 percent of the participants in the conformity experiments went along with the rest of the group at least one time. After combining the trials, the results indicated that participants conformed with the incorrect group answer approximately one-third of the time.
What About the Willfully Ignorant?
While Asch’s brilliant experiment revealed the percentage of participants willing to conform with others in a group setting, it doesn’t account for the percentage of people who might be classified as willfully ignorant.
What if a similar experiment were conducted at an employee meeting called by the CEO of a small company where a group of dedicated and hardworking employees were told that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) had jointly announced a new virus said to be more deadly than COVID-19, and that continued employment at the company would require all personnel to submit to a new mRNA vaccine with the understanding that this new vaccine had not been fully tested but was protected under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
Each employee would then be provided a printed vaccine insert from the top vaccine manufactures listing the ingredients in the new vaccine—duplicates of the toxic ingredients listed in the initial COVID-19 vaccines responsible for millions of deaths and adverse reactions around the world. In addition, employees would be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and a written waiver abdicating the company of any and all responsibility of possible health affects resulting from the new vaccine rollout.
The question would then remain: What percentage of employees would opt to keep their jobs and willingly submit to a new, unsafe and untested vaccine, fully cognizant of the potential health consequences?
